A magnificent 1880 mid-Victorian diamond cluster pendant brooch, comprising an old brilliant cut diamond center estimated to weigh 1.25 carats, within a central oval floral surmount cluster of old European brilliant cut diamonds set to the center of another old European brilliant cut diamond-set cluster surround, within an outer ornate old European brilliant cut diamond-set wreath motif border. All diamonds set throughout this Victorian jewel are old European brilliant cut and have exceptional average E-F white color and average VS1 clarity. All diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 6.25 carats, set in silver to a yellow gold mount, with brooch fitting, pendant loop and bracelet or pearl necklace or choker mounting openings. The center diamond measures a great 7.2x6.1x4.2mm, while its floral surmounts and borders contain a total of another 92 old brilliant diamonds with an estimated total diamond weight of 5 carats. The pendant measures 36x32mm with gross weight of 12.9 grams. Although apparently unmarked, this fantastic example of Victorian jewelry is most likely of the finest English make and craftsmanship. The pendant is accompanied by a superb Victorian fitted gold 15 karat yellow gold chain weighing a further 6 grams of gold. Absolutely scarce and important antique jewelry collector piece and one of the rare Imperial British XIX / 19th century Victorian diamond pendants, brooches and jewels.
